Room Sprays. Use a new plant sprayer, and add hot but not boiling. Add the essential oil (4 drops per liter of water ½) and shake before using. Spray in the air, but avoid spraying on surfaces and fabrics may stain.
Massage. For the massage, essential oils should be diluted in a carrier oil such as sunflower, sweet almond or grapeseed. You probably need about 7-10 teaspoons of carrier oil for body massage full, so adding 1 drop of essential oil per teaspoon of carrier oil. Mix well and apply to the skin with long strokes, always massage toward the heart.
Using aromatherapy oils at home must be done carefully. The essential oils mentioned here are very safe, but some oils can present dangers if not used properly. If in doubt, always consult a qualified aromatherapist.
Keep in mind the following guidelines before using essential oils:
1) Never use undiluted oils directly on skin
2) Always seek professional advice from a physician or qualified aromatherapist if you have sensitive skin, are prone to allergic reactions, are pregnant or nursing, have a medical condition or are taking blood thinning drugs.
3) Search advice from a qualified aromatherapist before using oils on children.
4) Avoid alcohol when using essential oils.
Avoid exposure to 5) the sun if you have used essential oils in the skin.
6) Always keep essential oils out of reach of children.
